Dear De Leon Family, Please accept my deepest sympathies on the loss of your beloved. There are never any right words to express how deeply sad I am for the pain your family is enduring at this difficult time. As Chair of the Senate Committee on Veteran Affairs and Military Installations, I am sincerely thankful for his valiant service in defense of our rights and freedom. His commitment to family, friends, our community, and to serving our great nation leaves a wonderful legacy. May the love and the wonderful memories you shared with him help you when you need it most. He will never be forgotten, and your family will be remembered in my prayers.

I have been married to Robert DeLeon Jr., of Dallas, Texas, for eighteen years and have been with him for twenty. Very early in our relationship we took a trip to San Antonio, Texas. That was our first vacation together as a couple. We went to San Antonio to visit the tourist attractions but also to meet and visit with Ramon and Velia. We were to arrive early one evening to Ramons and Velias house. Murphys Law prevented that and we did not arrive at the Deleons until the wee hours of the morning. Ramon and Velia greeted us at the door in the early morning hours with hugs and kisses and the smell of something yummy in the kitchen. Immediately I felt a part of this loving family. We entered the house and to our surprise a wonderful meal was waiting. There was steak, beans, bread, iced tea, and the best baked potatoes I have ever eaten. Every time I took a bite of the baked potatoes on my plate I was in heaven. I kept searching for items on the table that might explain the wonderful taste. I looked at the butter, sour cream, and salt. Nothing could explain these potatoes. I finally had to ask. 
Uncle Ramon smiled really big and shared his secret. Before placing the potatoes on the grill he split it open and put an onion slice in. He then baked it or grilled it. A potato is delicious cooked this way. I still cook them this way. Thank you Uncle Ramon for sharing this secret cooking tip with me and for welcoming me into your home and family with such open and loving arms. I wish I had known you better. 
You went to be with Jesus on the same day my Daddy did. Maybe you can say hi to him.

I was very sorry to hear Ramon had passaway.He was great man.He helped my mom alot and I'm very glad he was there to help my mom. It was very hard for her being a single mom after my dad had passaway. To do things around the house. THANK YOU RAMON

My heart grieves the loss of this great man my uncle. I feel so bad I wasn't able to spend more time with Uncle Ramon... I pray that God be the source of our strength, patience and encouragement. Lord enable us to live in perfect harmony with one another according to the spirit of Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and voice we may glorify God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Accept one another, then, as Christ accepted each of us, for the glory of God. May the peace that comes from knowing you fill our hearts and set the glory of your love before us;
