

He is preceded in death by his parents, Anastacia and Raymond De Leon; son, Ramon De Leon III; son-in-law, Gayle C. Perkins, Jr.; grandson, Frank Greco Jr.; and Chihuahuas, Jose and Chacha.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Velia M. De Leon; devoted daughters, Diane Ramirez, Betty Tydelski, Jill Perkins, Penny De Leon (David); and son, Leland De Leon (Debbie). He was beloved by his grandchildren, Bryan (Lori) Ramirez, Natalie (Zac) Hagen, Heather Harris, Matthew Tydelski (Baylee), Jensen Tydelski (Erik), Robin (Nick) Sanchez, Rhett and Colt Perkins, Lisa Greco, Missy Quinn, Becky Mata and Valerie Hunter. Ramon was adored by his great-grandchildren, Karissa, Destiny and Savannah Sanchez, Nate and Jessica Hagen, Jackson Beylik, Mason Reyna and Leila Greco.
He retired from the U.S. Army after loyally serving his country for 20 years, and later retired from the San Antonio River Authority and Oak Farms Dairy. Ramon was the heart of our family and will be greatly missed. He is now at peace in the presence of his heavenly Father. We thank our extended family and friends for the many prayers and support during his illness.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
