It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Ramon Maldonado, 72, on November 14, 2024. Born on September 18, 1952, in San Antonio, Texas, to Arturo Maldonado and Guadalupe Martinez, Ramon was a man who lived a life full of heart, humor, and hard work.
Ramon’s life was rooted in the love and devotion he had for his family. A selfless father and grandfather, he raised his children with a quiet strength and unyielding dedication, always putting their needs above his own.
For over 30 years, Ramon worked as a contractor, a role that exemplified his tireless work ethic. He also was a Marine, serving his country was something he was so proud to do. He believed in providing for his family and working with his hands, pouring his energy into each job, big or small. But his true passion lay in his beloved Harley Davidsons. Ramon was a man who understood the value of precision, patience, and craftsmanship, and it showed in his devotion to his motorcycles. He spent countless hours tinkering and working on those bikes, and they became as much a part of his identity as his work or his family.
Ramon’s legacy will live on in the hearts of his children, grandchildren, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. His work ethic, his humor, and his love for his family will never be forgotten. He leaves behind a family that will forever cherish the lessons he taught them about hard work, selflessness, and love.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Arturo and Guadalupe, and his brother Rodrigo (Roy) Martinez and is survived by his children, Ramon Maldonado, Marcus Maldonado, Bianca Doxey (Melton), brother, Arturo Maldonado Jr. (Helen), grandchild Claire Doxey, and many others who were touched by his love and generosity.Ride on, Dad. We love you, and we’ll always miss your smile, your laughter, and the sound of those Harley engines roaring.
