I first Ramona @ St Dominic’s Catholic Church. As a Guadalupana one of the first pioneers of our organization. I also had the prilvidge of singing along side of her in our first bilingual choir.  I looked up to her , admiring her qualities/ values, morals ,as a woman. She  is a fine woman, daughter, mother , grandmother, Truely a fine Friend. You’re going to be greatly missed my friend by all.
 Rest in Peace ☮️May the Perpetual Light✨🌟 shine upon you! 
I can’t attend tonight’s services because of illness but will dedicate a rosary for Repose of your Soul my dear friend.

     My mom Ramona, was a part of the rock which made our family so durable , to me. I say only a part because Dad was the other half of the imperturbable rock which made them both such a tremendous piece of my life and has made me so durable throughout my life. Strong and resilient they were and both, made me. Life is hard and they both prepared me for what lay ahead, as best they could. 
     Because. I always knew, always sensed, figured, that no matter where I was and what I was doing at that very moment  these two parents were my reference point, back to that family life, which was secure, safe , resilient. This gave me the confidence to stand alone in life, knowing that the Rocky but solid foundation was always true and always stood fast, no matter how stormy my life became. I always had that reference point in the back of my mind, my folks. To that family which my parents had created. This was the inspiration for my life. The values instilled into me in childhood held fast and I in turn instilled these , passed along to that next generation, into my sons. I tried to instill those same Old Fashioned values from a time so long ago, when I became a Dad... For these, me and mine will always be grateful to my mother, Ramona. Religious values, moral values, social too, which I have learned remarkably; to have very seldom found in others. I feel those values came from a time long ago in the past. It has been a remarkable journey, witnessing the nineteenth century moral values instilled into me, carried over from my mom's mother, Josefina into the 21st century.  My Mom's mother Josephina was born in 1896, and so this made my Mom- whose life we are here to celebrate - into the most moralistic person I have ever known.  Those customs gleaned from those 1896 values held fast and I believe are a part of me. Etched into my soul, I guess. This is how deeply my mother has affected my thoughts. These are my recollections of my mother as I now near seventy years of age. 

My Aunt Ramona and Bernardino are my God parents which my mom would tell me that the day I was born they went to see me at the hospital on their wedding day and there after baptized me. I will miss her decorating outside her home for Christmas and also we went to movies on weekends so many memories that we made together.  You can rest now with God in heaven and we will see each other again.
