Born on October 18, 1943, Raul lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication. He was a devoted husband, married to his beloved wife, Maria Cantu, for 59 wonderful years. Together, they built a strong and loving family that was the center of Raul’s world. He will be deeply missed by Maria and their children: daughters Monica and Jennifer Cantu, and sons Mike and David Cantu.
Raul’s legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren—Elizabeth, Michelle, Alexander, Raul III, Anthony, Alexis, Ashley, Marissa, Amy, Angelina, Marcus, and Autumn—and 11 great-grandchildren who adored their Grandpa.
He is also survived by his sister, Aurora; brother, Felipe Perez; niece, Gracie; and nephews, Felipe Jr., Mike, Mauricio, Manuel, Angel, and Freddie Perez.
Raul is reunited in heaven with his beloved son, Raul Cantu Jr., whom he missed dearly every day. —A father and son who shared countless memories, laughter, and lessons through the years. Though their time apart brought sorrow, there is peace in knowing they are now together again, watching over their family side by side.
Raul was a hardworking and dedicated family man who retired from Southwell Company after 42 years of loyal service. Known for his strong work ethic, he took great pride in providing for his family and setting an example of perseverance and integrity.
In his free time, Raul enjoyed watching movies and was a passionate fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Some of his happiest moments were spent watching games and movies with his sons and grandchildren, sharing laughter, snacks, and stories. Those who knew him will remember his warm smile, gentle spirit, and the joy he brought to every gathering.
Raul’s unwavering love, strength, and devotion to his family will forever be remembered. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
