He is preceded in death by Pilar Elizondo, Josefina Diaz, Victorina Diaz, and Francisca Sanchez.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Diaz; children, Raul Diaz, Jr. (Sandra); George Diaz (Rochella); Joe S. Diaz (Julie); Debra Diaz (Patricia); Eric Diaz (Genefe); and Camille Patin (Christopher); grandchildren, Lesley Diaz, Laura Diaz, Raul Diaz III, Elisabeth Diaz, Michael Diaz, Stephanie Diaz, Cynthia Diaz, Darren Diaz, Kelli Diaz, Matthew Diaz, Kaitlyn Valdez, Noah Diaz, Luke Diaz, Eric Diaz Jr., Joshua Diaz, and Caylee Patin; great grandchildren; Isabelle Valdez, Emilia Valdez, Selah Diaz, Luke Williams, and Penelope Diaz.

The Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with services at 7:00 p.m. by Pastor Chad Belew at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, 226 Cupples Rd., San Antonio, TX 78237. The Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
