Ray is survived by his children, Ronald Chavez, Sandra Chavez, Edward Chavez, Mark Chavez, Nikki Duran; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; sister, Beverly Norris. He is resting in peace with his sons Stevie Chavez and Ray Chavez.
Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera road, San Antonio, Texas 78238 on Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am Friday, June 7, 2024 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic, 13715 Riggs Road in Helotes, Texas with interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery at Cordi-Marian.
