Bunny had an indomitable spirit and possessed a knack for being the center of attention everywhere she went. She devoted her energies to her family and traveled the world with them becoming quite an accomplished fisherman.
Later in life she won numerous races as a road cyclist and qualified for the National Senior Olympics in 1997.
No one was a stranger, no dance was too formidable, or no marimba was silent when Bunny was around. She always exhibited humor, even towards the final stages in life when she winked and joked with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Hardy B. Purvis, Jr.
She is survived by sons, Hardy B. Purvis III and wife, Karen, Phillip L. Purvis and wife, Glenda, Edward W. Purvis and wife, Tammy; and daughter, Kimberly A. Purvis-Sheridan and husband, Patrick; sister-in-law, Louis Villasenor; sister, Rose Helen Nogueira; brothers, Arthur Villasenor, Gilbert Villasenor, Jessie Villasenor; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be given to the charity of one's choice.
