I was a Stoneville High School graduate with Jack in 1966.  I had a lot of classes with him throughout our years in school.  He was always a funny guy to be around and a great friend.

I’m sorry to hear of his passing and I want to wish the family members the best.  He was a great guy!

Jackie made us laugh all through school. In the first grade he was making funny faces when they took our pictures.

 Later in elementary grades, he brought to school a carving of a horse head which made him the coolest dude in school. We were amazed because the carving was exactly like the logo of our hero "Paladin" from the TV show "Have gun will travel".

 Years later and wiser I realized he had probably found the Knight from a Chess game. None of us had ever heard of the game of chess back then, we were busy playing cowboys and Indians.

Just like in elementary school Jackie was a hero and a cool dude to everyone who knew him.

Jack was always special to his family. We loved him as a first cousin but actually he was more like our brother.  We will miss him always and send love and condolences to his family there in Texas. Rest In Peace sweet Jack. You have suffered so much but now it’s all taken away for you to soar into the endless beauty of eternity. We will see you again  before too long❤️

My sincere condolences to all of Jackie's family in his passing. I was a member of Stoneville High Class of 66 with Jackie as well as growing up in the Shiloh community. Jackie was such a good guy and I will always  have fond memories of him. Please know that even though it has been a long time since we have seen him he remains in our memories and our hearts. I am a bit lost at the moment! You werent just my Father you were my best friend!  Every week I would come over if not to take you to appointments, but to talk sports, to talk life, to share the good and the bad with, to plan our next adventure to the casino, all of which I am going to miss. Your my hero all the pain you've endured over the years all the surgeries and trials you've had handed to you but you never gave up you always saw the positive and you fought I dont even think you were fighting for yourself you were fighting for us to make sure we were all in a good place because thats what you did you were selfless well dad now its my turn to fight the fight and its your turn to watch and when I make to where you are we can talk about it all. Words could never begin to describe how much little Juan, Lucianna and I adore and love you. Your warm hugs and "I love you Babe"s will forever hold a special place in my heart. I will never forget the early mornings as kids you would pick us up for sleep overs, make special runs for breakfast tacos, pizza and chicken wings from HEB, staying up late watching scary movies with Baby Joe and the many other sweet memories made with you. I miss every single thing about you; your sweet smile, your scent, your flannel shirts, your loving voice, your silly jokes, your wild stories, your contagious laughter, everything. Thank you for always believing in me and reminding me how beautiful I was to you every single time I got to be with you. I thank God for the many years we all were able to cherish you and for allowing me the chance to tell you I love you one more time. Thank you for being my one and only Pappauw. You were and are the best Pappauw to ever walk this earth. 💛 I promise to always remind the kids of the amazing man you were in all of our lives. Please continue to shine your light from up above and watch over us each day. It is going to be so hard to live the rest of this life without you, but I know that you will always be here in our hearts.
