Richard Medina Escobar

Richard M. Escobar, age 57, went with our lord on January 17, 2015. He was born January 9, 1958. He was a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and nephew who will be deeply missed but never forgotten.He was an incredibly selfless hardworking man that loved his family and friends. He was known as "Ricky" to all in the neighborhood. He graduated from South San High School in 1976 and loved his Bobcats. He worked at Kelly A.F.B and Boeing Aerospace as an aircraft mechanic. He enjoyed barbecuing along with watching his Spurs and Cowboys.He is survived by his parents Sabas and Isabel Escobar, daughter Vanessa Escobar and son Richard "Rico" Escobar Jr. (Tabitha), his sister Diana Martinez (Joe), his brothers Gilbert Escobar (Martha) and David Escobar. He was loved by his 7 grandchildren, 1 niece and 3 nephews.Visitation services will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. rosary at Trevino Funeral Home. Funeral services will continue on Friday, January 23, 2015 with mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church (South San). Interment will follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery, 20567 Hwy 16 S., San Antonio, Texas.
