Richard George Fitzpatrick, Jr. was born August 29, 1948 in Berkeley, California, and shortly thereafter his family moved to San Antonio where he passed away on April 19, 2011. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and pursued his interest in electronics at San Antonio College. He put up a brave struggle with schizophrenia all his adult life. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Richard G. Fitzpatrick Sr and is survived by his brother, Steven Fitzpatrick and wife Bernice of San Antonio, Texas; sister, Sharon Fitzpatrick-Fletcher of Las Cruces, New Mexico; and nephews Mark and Kyle Fletcher.
Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 A.M on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Sunset Memorial Park on 1701 Austin Highway, 78218. In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations for schizophrenia research be made to NARSAD Brain and Behavior Research Fund at www.narsad.org or 60 Cutter Mill Road Suite 404, Great Neck, NY 11021.
