Rick was born in San Antonio on September 12, 1961, to Richard J. Krawietz and Mary Lee Krawietz and was the first of four children. He graduated from Winston Churchill High School in 1979. After graduation, he joined the family-owned company, Krawietz Aerial Photography, where he remained until he retired in 2019. He married Susan Davis on June 4, 1983. Together they had two children.
Rick will be remembered for his sense of humor, intelligence, generosity, and friendliness. He enjoyed spending time with his family and pets, going on bourbon tastings, trying out new technology, the San Antonio Spurs, and keeping up to date on local construction projects and business development. Rick was a true “foodie,” always experimenting with recipes and seeking out new and exciting places to eat. He could often be found enjoying a cigar on the deck while listening to selections of his favorite music.
Rick was preceded in death by his father, Richard J. Krawietz, and sister, Terri Krawietz. He is survived by his wife, Susan Krawietz; mother, Mary Lee Krawietz; daughter, Jackie Krawietz; son, Colton Krawietz; daughter-in-law, Emily Krawietz; brothers, Bill Krawietz and wife, Angie; Tom Krawietz and wife, Tammy; nephew, Jason Krawietz and wife, Hannah; and niece, Julia Foster and husband, Jonny.
