Richard B. Palmer

On Tuesday, November 12, 2013, my big Teddy Bear passed from our loving hands to God's. His 13 months of suffering with cancer has finally ended. He was born in Providence-Webster, Kentucky on June 3, 1946. He was an army brat and lived all over the U.S., Europe and Korea. He went to Sam Houston High School in 1963-64 but graduated from Livorno American High School in Pisa, Italy in 1965. He was in the Army until 1973 and worked for Koelwhit A/C. Richard and & I met and married within three months on January 22, 1977. After getting his AA degree, he worked for Phillip Morris from 1978-1994 when he became disabled. He was on the Board of San Antonio Angler's club and was a member of the Converse Policeman's Alumni. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 siblings.

He is survived by loving wife, Linda; very supportive son, Rick Jr. and wife Casi; daughter Lindsay Kiolbassa and husband Chris, two beloved grandsons, and a sister, Fay Garibay. Richard was a very loved and cherished man and will be tearfully missed by everyone who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Monday, November 18, 2013 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
