

He was born May 4, 1927 in Harmony, Minnesota to Joseph Milford and Emma Thundale Rostvold.
He graduated from Harmony High school and from The University of Minnesota with a Business Administration degree.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He married Margaret Hanson in September 1948.
He worked for The Principal Financial Group of Des Moines, Iowa from 1956 to 1987. He served as Regional Group manager in Minneapolis, then Houston, and San Antonio.
He was active in his church.
After retirement, he and Margaret enjoyed summers in Fairmont, Minnesota.
He was a SCORE volunteer, and a member of Interlaken Golf Club, and the Norwegian Club of San Antonio, Texas.
He was a true family man who had many friends. He also enjoyed sports, especially fishing and golf. He had a positive attitude, gregarious personality, and a natural ability to make people laugh.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Joseph and his wife Violet; his sister, Elizabeth; his foster brother, Louie Berg; and his foster sisters, Ruby Hoyem and Maybelle Berg.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret of San Antonio, his children, Mark and wife Lynn of Macon, Georgia, Nancy and husband Dave Bishop of Fairmont, Scott of San Antonio, and Sue and husband Allan Little of Austin, Texas; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Ellie, Jenny, Meghan, Stephanie, Cody and Monika; and many nieces and nephews.
