He passed away peacefully one day before his 76th birthday. Rico was born in San Antonio, TX. on February 6, 1929.
He lived and worked in San Antonio all his life, retiring from Bexar County and the City of San Antonio as Chief Clerk of Municipal Courts.
Rico loved to spend time with his family and many friends. He was a happy person with a great sense of humor and always made everyone around him smile.
He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle with his "gang of brothers".
Rico was a long time member of the First Baptist Church in San Antonio.
Rico was preceded in death by his parents, the late Judge James Jimmie Tafolla, Jr. and Eloise Barajas Tafolla; brothers, Pvt. James J. Tafolla, USMCR; and John F. Tafolla, Attorney.
Rico is survived by his children; Richard S. Tafolla, John F. Tafolla, and Rhonda S. Hughes; sister, Mavis T. Schroeder and husband, Skip of Irving, TX; sister-in-law, Mary A. Mrs. John Tafolla; 6 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews who will dearly miss their "old timer".
