

Rita Armstrong Packard, age 76, passed away on Thursday, May 4, 2023 in San Antonio, Texas. She wasborn on January 12, 1947 in Topeka, Kansas to Florence (Doll) and Roy W. Armstrong. The familymoved to San Antonio during her childhood, where she graduated from Ursuline Academy and promptlylaunched into her career in the real estate legal world.
She was a very business oriented person and loved her work. She spent 57 years employed by West &West Attorneys, and was instrumental in the success of the firm, which still thrives today. She wasawarded numerous achievement awards from various Real Estate Groups in and around the San Antonioarea over the years.
Rita was known for having a fun spirit and being young at heart. She loved music, and always enjoyedbeing around local music venues. She loved board games and often hosted game nights. She was knownin her circle as the Scrabble Queen and was always the one to beat.She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many. She was a caring andgenerous person, always willing to offer help in any way she could. She brought a happy energy wherevershe went.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Philip Packard; and her sister, Patricia O’Bar. She is survived by her son, David Armstrong; daughter-in-law, Anne Armstrong; grandsons, Paul and Benjamin Armstrong; son, Patrick Armstrong; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Armstrong; step-grandchildren, Kayse, Coby and Taylor; step-great grandchildren, Lauren and Liam; and her sister, Gloria Dillon. She is further survived by her beloved extended family: Denny and Cindy Bowen, and their children Kelci, Kayli, Sean, and Noah.
