Robert Lamar Bridger passed away at the age of 90 on September 23, 2019. He was born on June 8, 1929 in San Antonio, Texas where he spent his whole life. He met his wife Evelyn Ruth at St. Mary’s skating rink where he was working. He always said it was God’s plan for them to be together. They were married for 68 wonderful years. He worked for Kelly Field Air Force base where he retired after 19 years of service. He enjoyed skating, bowling, fishing, playing games, and spending time with family and friends. He was loved by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents John Calhoun Bridger Jr. and Thelma Etta Bridger, sister Alma Johnson, and brothers Charlton Bridger and William Bridger. He is survived by his wife Evelyn Ruth Bridger, daughter Marjorie Schmidt & husband David, daughter Diana Gilbert & husband Morris, son John Bridger, and daughter Jacquelyn Robertson & husband Tim. His legacy will live on through his 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
