Robert A. Castro

He was born September 21, 1937 in Austin Texas to Parents Jose Castro and Juana Arriaga. He was the youngest male of 9 siblings. Robert entered the Kingdom of Heaven on January 3, 2026 leaving behind a legacy of love, devotion and strength to all that knew him.

Robert married the love of his life (Maria) on October 21, 1955 in San Antonio, Texas. They were married for 65 years until her death. he shared a wonderful life with his family that included 5 daughters. He lived his life to the fullest.

Robert enjoyed dancing, especially to the oldies. Growing up during the 50's was amazing, as he put it. Those days were awesome, he loved being around family and would dance with his daughters and nieces. The last 8 years of his life he lived it to the fullest. He lived in a community of seniors and made a lot of friends. They would gather around him listening to music on a small radio that he carried on his walker. Those people made an impact on him as well, he wa very blessed.

He is survived by his loving daughters RoseMarie Hernandez (John Sr) Graciela Estrada (Rowland Sr) Maria Magdalena (Richard) Ruth Moreno, and Veronica (Ronnie) Castro. Sisters Flora Mora and Francis Luna (Gilbert)

14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces he will be greatly missed, but heaven has called him now. We love you Dad.

visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, located at 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237, on January 22, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Holy Rosary will also take place at the same location on January 22, 2026, at 6:00 pm.

The Mass of The Resurrection will be conducted at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 804 Ruiz St, San Antonio, TX 78207, on January 23, 2026, at 10:00 am.

The committal service will be held at San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237, on January 23, 2026.
