Robert Ferman Cline, Jr. went home to his Savior on September 30, 2024, at the age of 83. He was born to Helen and Robert Cline, Sr. on August 3, 1941, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the first of five Cline children. Both parents, four siblings, and one son, Robert F. Cline III preceded him in death.
Bob was raised in Miller, Indiana through the eighth grade, at which point the family moved to Long Beach, Indiana. He graduated from Campion Jesuit High School in Prairie du Chein, Wisconsin and The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass. He was married to the former Marian Schefer while in college, and upon graduation they made the move to New York City where Bob began his C.P.A. career with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell and Co. During that 18-year tenure the Clines enjoyed transfers to Chicago, Atlanta, and Minneapolis. Upon retiring from the firm, Bob became a developer of mid-size hotels in San Antonio (now The Indigo), and parts of Minnesota. Ever a superior athlete, Bob was an avid golfer and tennis player.
Bob is survived by his wife, Marian; son, Tim (Cassidy); daughter, Lisa (Mando) Lozano; daughter-in-law, Carla Cline; nine grandchildren: Ryan Cline (Jessica), Christian Cline (fiancée Rachel Bir), Garrett Cline (fiancée Justine Sitko), Sophia (Clayton) Wikoff, Gabriella (Landon) Specia, T.J., Carson, Schaefer, Macy Cline; great grandson, August Wikoff; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Bianca and Ben Bodeo and their aide, Karen Keshue for their above and beyond care and concern for Bob in that season of his life, to Kimberly Newsome for her help, support and kindness, and to Dr. Kevin Horton for his constant availability and wise guidance.
