Robert “Bob” Michael Duross, 89, of Corpus Christi, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. Bob was born in Biddeford, Maine, to Roy Ambrose Duross and Annette Fournier Duross on September 24, 1936. He was the firstborn of four children and grew up with a strong sense of duty, integrity, and service—qualities that shaped his entire life.
After graduating from Biddeford High School, Bob proudly joined the United States Air Force, serving four years as a Military Police Officer. Upon completing his military service, he continued his commitment to protecting others by joining the San Antonio Police Department, where he served for 32 years and retired as a Detective. Never one to sit still, Bob went on to work as an Investigator for the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office for five years. He later contracted with the U.S. Marshals Office as a Court Security Officer at the Federal Courthouse in San Antonio, a role he held for fifteen and a half years.
Outside of his work, Bob found great joy in the outdoors. He loved fishing and hunting, especially when he could share those moments with his family. To his grandchildren, he was affectionately known as “Pape,” a name that captured the warmth, strength, and steady love he brought to their lives.
Bob is survived by his children: Michael Duross of Spring Branch, TX, and his children Michelle Cain & Adam and their children Irene and Bradley; Clint; Garret & Lauren; Wyatt; and Katy. Douglas & Jennifer Duross of Murfreesboro, TN, and his children Alexandra, Luke, Rebekah, and Lily. Christina & Rick Ritter of Fulshear, TX, and their children Ross and Hannah. Kurt & Kristi Duross of Southlake, TX, and their children Kyle and Kara.
He is also survived by his nephews, Karl and Eric Wright, and his niece, Leslie Lee.
Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife of 43 years, Charlotte; his parents; and his brothers Maurice Duross, James Duross, and Lawrence Patrick Duross and his wife Karen.
