After his birth in Lewistown, Montana, Bob moved to Long Beach, California. He resided there until he joined the military, serving as a Navy pilot in WW2.
When Bob retired from the City Water Board in 1983, he was the Data Processing Manager. Bob lived in San Antonio for the last 47 years.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mary Louise Hackett; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Louis Mize; son and daughter-in-law, Robert W. and Sonja Hackett; grandsons, Mark Mize and Matthew Mize and wife, Kisha; great-grandson, Luke Mize; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Bob's life on Monday afternoon, August 21, 2006 at 1:00 PM at Porter Loring, 1101 McCullough Ave., with the Rev. Cecil Holley officiating. Interment will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Honors at 2:15 PM.
