Our precious son and brother passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 13, 2011 to be with his Lord and beloved father in heaven. Shawn was born on September 12, 1960 at McConnell AFB, KS to Robert G. and June D.H. Humphreys. Shawn was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother June, sisters Cynthia and Robin and many beloved relatives and friends.
As a young man Shawn loved Scouting. He became an Eagle Scout before his 14th birthday and was also a member of the Order of the Arrow. He traveled a great deal with his family while his father was in the military. He loved music and was a member of both the Randolph High School and the Texas A&M "Aggie" Marching Bands. He was a faithful friend and all who knew him loved him. A light has gone out in our lives but Heaven has a brand new drummer.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be at 12 noon, Friday, March 18, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
