

Robert Morton McGrew, age 73, of San Antonio died August 13, 2001. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri May 2, 1928, the son of Morton and Maude McGrew. A graduate of Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri and a Navy veteran, he worked in the meat industry for many years. He served 16 years as an elder at the Sunset Ridge Church of Christ in San Antonio. His love of God was the guiding force in his life. He demonstrated this in his relationships with his family and all those who's lives he touched. He was happiest when he was helping others. His reassuring smile, strong hands and selfless nature will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Beverly McGrew; son Craig McGrew and wife Janice of Lake Travis, Tx.; daughter Nancy Hazelwood and husband Jerry Hazelwood of Shaker Heights, Ohio; son Doug McGrew and wife Cyndy McGrew of Fort Worth, Tx. and grandaughter Hilry Hazelwood.
