Robert was born in Schenectady, New York to Oscar Milliman and Marianne Vinciquerra on December 31, 1937. He married Joyce P. Curtis on May 27, 1961 in Kenmore, New York. He retired after a total of 50 years with the Air Force, 25 Active duty, and 25 Civil Service ending his career as the Chief of the Headquarters Support Division Air Force Manpower Agency. He was a veteran of the Vietnam war and served in the Marines, and Air Force.
Robert is preceded in death by his beloved wife and best friend of 43 years, Joyce (Curtis) Milliman, son Robert A. Milliman Jr., Father, Oscar Milliman, Mother, Marianne (Vinciquerra) Smith, Step Father, Marine Corp SgtMaj Stephen Smith, Father in law, Glenn Curtis, Mother In law, Margaret Curtis, brother in law, Glenn Curtis, and wife Jan Curtis, and sister in law Judith Sienknecht.
(Robert) is survived by (son, Michael Milliman, wife Diana granddaughter, Kayla Milliman and Step grandson, Jacob Caton of Bridgeport, WV, Granddaughter, Shae Reedy and husband Larry and great grandchildren Jordan, and Abby, of Pottsville, PA, Grandson, Cody Milliman and wife Alanna, and great grandchildren Asher, and Eli, of Baton Rouge, LA, daughter Caryn Milliman of San Antonio, TX, Grandson Cameron Polk and wife Catherine and great grandsons Carter, and Cayden of New Braunfels, TX, granddaughter Elizabeth Milliman of Davenport, FL, daughter in law, Lisa Milliman of Deatsville, AL, grandson Jacob Milliman and wife Rachael of Tacoma, WA, grandson Joshua Milliman and wife Addie of Pearl City, HI, brother in law Ronald Sienknecht of Virginia, nephew Ted Sienknecht and wife Esther of Virginia, Niece Melissa Sienknecht and husband Marten Wallace, of Virginia, nephew David Curtis of Florida, nephew Kevin Curtis and wife Traci of Georgia, and many great nephews and nieces.

Burial will be held 9:00am July 19, 2024 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Memorial services will be held (10:00am) (July 19, 2024) at (Wayside Chapel- San Antonio 1705 Northwest Loop 410, San Antonio, TX 78213).
Memorials may be given to (The Salvation Army, St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Wounded Warrior Project).
