Sarina: Although I do not know you or your family, I have known Clint for many years, and I am so very sorry for the loss of your loved one.  May God watch over all of you.

To the family of Robert Berlingeri Jr., I am truly heartbroken for your loss and saddened by this devastation. No words can be offered that will come close to comforting your pain. Just know that Robbie is now truly in a better place, in the Lord's presence, inside the Gates of the Kingdom of Heaven... & one day, we will all be reunited with him. 

 To my brother Robbie... my real life blood brother, my best friend for 20 years, my brother from another mother... I Love you so much dog! I'm so sorry our relationship dissolved when we were 26, we were both just really bad influences on each other at that time & being so immature, we both didn't know how to handle it. I only regret us not becoming apart of each other's lives again, once we became more responsible... I'm so sorry for that brother... We'll meet again when I join you in the streets of heaven. There's so many memories I can share, I'll have a hard time picking only a few, but here it goes... I remember moving to Seacroft in the summer of '86, afraid of "fitting in", & you & you're family welcomed me & my family with open arms. I remember crying in your mother's arms, and her comforting me as if I was her son too... I will never forget that. It was an everyday thing for us to hangout and just play whatever (basketball, football, hide & go seek, dodgeball, wrestling, Nintendo & others I can't name here). I remember playing hide & seek at my house one time, and you stepped on a piece of glass while you were hiding behind one of my mom's chest of drawers. Well, that was the end of that game, as we helped you hop across the street back home with a bloody foot and crying. We definitely didn't play barefoot in my house after that and your mom was pretty upset. I remember playing street ball once, and you went to retrieve the ball from under a car and you ended up slicing your knee on the car's license plate. I remember you were always so competitive, I think that you hated losing more than you liked winning. I love you for that brother... you always gave you're all in whatever you did. I remember going to Corpus Christi with you, your mom and dad, & while there, you got stung by a jellyfish and I got pinched by a small crab. I remember how we used to (cutdown) make fun of each other really bad & be able to laugh at ourselves about it... but if anyone else tried it, we weren't having any of that. I remember so many fun times growing up with you Robbie, you were a true friend. Perhaps the memory that will forever live on in my life, & one that I will forever be grateful to you for, occurred at the beginning of your freshman year at Holmes. The summer before, we went to several quinceñeras, & I mentioned to you a specific girl that I noticed at every quinceñera that we went to. You knew that I was shy and quiet, & because I went to a private school, you told me that you would get her phone number for me. After that first week of your freshman year, you would tell me everyday that you'd ask that girl for her number for me, but she wouldn't give it to you. Finally, after 4 straight weeks of you bothering that girl, I remember you handing me a wadded up piece of paper with her phone number on it & telling me "I told you I'd get it for you" & "you owe me big time." Well Robbie, I still owe you big time brother. It was your stubbornness, persistence & and your close friendship with me that lead me to my lifetime partner. Yes, it was you that made it possible for me to talk to the girl of my dreams... And because of you, we have now been married for 23 years. We are both grateful to you for that.  

In closing Robbie, I Love you with all my heart... You will be missed greatly... You were a great man & an even greater father. I look forward to seeing you again brother and rekindling our friendship.

Our family is so sorry for the loss of Robbie. When we saw and heard the screams from the people holding onto the pad, we rushed there as quick as we could, and my daughter Brittany jumped in without hesitation as well as her friend Isaac to save everyone. All of us on the boat prayed, but have to accept gods will and realize Robbie is in a better place.   Eternal rest grant unto him o lord, and let the light of perpetual help shine upon him.
