Robert Ryan Rodriguez

Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Jean Rodriguez. He is survived by his devoted and loving husband of 21 years, Arthur Rodriguez; brothers Thomas Rodriguez (Melinda), Ted Knight (Marlene); and sisters, Barbara Bonilla (Sid), Kourtney Rodriguez. Robert had numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends whom he cherished and loved to spend time with including his fur babies: Ryan, Precious and Ruby.

Robert lived his life to the fullest. He enjoyed his time at the family ranch, making new memories and reminiscing with his cousins about their shared family history. He never missed an opportunity to take a trip to the convenience store for a lottery scratch ticket or traveling to Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino with Arthur. His trips to the Texas coast were filled with late-night and early-morning fishing, constant laughter and unforgettable moments with family and friends became cherished memories.

Robert attended Harlandale High School and later worked as a warehouse manager for the special events planning company Capers. However, he found his true fulfillment as a self-employed contractor, where he put his skills in carpentry, maintenance, and home renovations to work. Those who crossed his path will never forget his incredible talent and creativity. Robert had a keen eye for decorating and could spruce up any holiday occasion. His true passion for creating was seen in his drawings, design work and floral arranging. Robert loved to share his talents with the community during Fiesta Cornyation, Dia De Los Muertos Fundraiser Ball, and Guadalupe Runway Fashon Shows.

Robert’s family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, October 26, 2025, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life at 7:00 p.m. at Porter Loring Mortuary, located at 1101 McCullough Ave, San Antonio, TX 78212.

Interment gathering will commence at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, October 27, 2025, at Porter Loring Mortuary, with a 9:30 a.m. procession to Mission Burial Park South, 1700 SE Military Dr, San Antonio, TX 78214, where Robert will arrive at his final resting place for a 10:00 a.m. graveside service.
