Robert O. Santos, a loving husband and family man with a fondness for the Texas Longhorns, hunting, fishing and trips to Las Vegas passed away at his home Monday evening at the age of 59 years.
Bobby was a life long native of San Antonio and a member of the Sam Houston Cherokee Class of 1967 reunion committee. His sincere sense of humor and willingness to help was always put on display for those he encountered, especially his nieces and nephews.
Many things brought joy to his life, but hunting with his brother, enduring another Longhorn football victory and a simple but special night alone with his "Honey Bun" and "Humphrey Boy" topped the list. Fond of living but hard of hearing, Bobby could not only take a joke but dish them as well.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Felis Santos; brother-in-law, William Covell; father-in-law, Vincent Sekula; and nephew, Wesley MacLeod. Survivors: loving wife, Patsy Santos; father, Isidor "Pop" Santos; brothers, Richard and Cheryl, Henry and Sherry, Rudy and Deborah, and Charlie and Julie; sisters, Dolores Santos, Mary Ellen Covell and Diane Santos; mother-in-law, Theresa Sekula; sisters-in-law, Cookie MacLeod and Mac, Sherry Wilkerson and David, and Toni Lewis and Greg; brother-in-law, Bernie Sekula; nieces and nephews, Steven Santos, Henry Lee Santos, Chandler Santos, Casey Santos, Krissa Santos, Amanda Santos, Mark Santos and Alithia, Jennifer Covell, Shannon Terrell and Scott, Brian Santos and Erin, Christopher Santos, Brandon Sekula, Christian Sekula, William Wilkerson, Katherine Wilkerson, Alexandra Lewis and Avery Lewis; numerous great nieces and great nephews.
