Robert Vallejo, born on August 26, 1944, in Monterrey, Nuevo León, passed away on March 29, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved son of Tomas Vallejo and Isabel Rodriguez, and was preceded in death by his two sisters, Gloria Eccles and Maria Luz Leal.
Robert was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Janie Vallejo, with whom he shared 46 years of marriage. He was a proud and loving father to his three daughters: Sandra Longoria, Cynthia Lindsey, and Michelle Sauseda. His legacy continues through his six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy and pride.
A gifted musician and lifelong lover of music, Robert spent over 20 years as a Conjunto drummer, performing alongside legends such as Manuel Guerrero, Flaco Jiménez, and Sunny Ozuna. He later formed his own band, Los Socios de San Antonio, where he continued sharing his passion for music.
In his professional life, Robert built and operated a successful woodworking business, where he poured his skill and dedication into every project. Later, he followed a calling to ministry. In 1996, he founded Seek The Lost Ministries, preaching under the bridges of downtown San Antonio and reaching out to those experiencing homelessness with compassion and the Word of God. When Haven for Hope opened in 2010, he continued his mission on their campus, offering guidance, prayer, and love to those who needed it most.
Robert became a U.S. citizen in 1982, a milestone he was proud of. He loved visiting Monterrey and spending time with his family there, and often spoke fondly of those memories.
Robert’s life was a reflection of faith, service, creativity, and love. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him and whose lives he touched.
