Robert Earl Warren

He was born in Rosemary, Alabama on October 21, 1934 to Lera Stephenson and Fred Warren. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Patricia Rooney Warren; and his children, Robert C. Warren, M.D. and his wife Therese of Avon, Ohio, and Sheila Kobilsek and husband Michael of San Antonio; grandchildren, Daniel, Joseph and Catherine Warren, and Andrew and Kaitlin Kobilsek. He also leaves a brother, Stanley Warren of Houston. He was predeceased by sisters, Dona Palermo and Dorothy Freeman. Other survivors include his sister-in-law Joan Riccitelli and her husband Robert of Orange, Conn.; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Warren grew up in Houston, Texas and graduated from Tyler Junior College and in later years received his MBA degree from the University of Dallas. He was a USMC helicopter pilot and attained the rank of Captain prior to entering his civilian occupation. He joined the Sikorsky Aircraft Division of United Technologies Corp. in Stratford, Conn., where he spent 32+ years as an Engineering Test Pilot, in commercial Marketing, Program Management /Operations, as Chief of Flight Operations, and as Chief of Civil Aviation Requirements.

He retired in 1993 and was a resident of San Antonio from that time.
