When I began working at Bjorn's, Bob White was one of the first people I met. Throughout my 3 year career at Bjorn's and afterward, I always admired & respected Bob tremendously for his kindness, fairness and overall positive attitude. I sang with Bob in the Heart of Texas Chorus and it didn't take long to learn that he had a beautiful heart to go with that beautiful voice. Straight-forward and honest in all he did, he was a wonderful role model for everyone who knew him. We in the Heart Of Texas Chorus will miss him and our hearts break for his family, who must be suffering enormously from this unexpected tragedy. My own father passed away unexpectedly on Christmas Eve 11 years ago. I know what pain that combination brings. May I offer this: Although we still miss our father incredibly, we use the holidays as an opportunity to admire him, to remember his wonderful life, and to flow love, honor, and respect to him. I pray that Bob White's family can find such solace at Christmastime in future years.

Our deepest sympathies to the entire family, and especially to Margaret and Richard. We remember your father as a great supporter of the theatre and how he loved to see Margaret on stage. We hope your wonderful memories will sustain you at this difficult time and you are in our prayers.

Bob White was someone whom I knew for many years, through doing business with Bjorn's. He was a gifted manager - not only with his customers and employees, but with vendors, and I assume that he was a special person to everyone that knew him throughout his life. Although he will leave a void, impossible to be filled, for his family, you have shared the many years of his life with him, and you are richer for it, as all of us who knew him are richer for his contributions to our lives. Although I would see him infrequently, I will nonetheless miss the ready smile of recognition, the bright twinkle in his eyes, that big handshake, and the measured, intelligent discussions which always took place with him. We attended Texas Lutheran College with Bob. Bob and I were members of the Omega Tau fraternity. I will always remember Bob singing "Edelweiss" as he did on several occasions. We pray the peace of God that passes all human understanding for Jeannie and Bob's entire family during this time of sadness and loss.

Dear Jeannie, We were blessed by being part of the memorial service for Bob yesterday. I'm sorry that we were not able to stay for the luncheon and to visit with you personally. We had to be in Comfort to take my stepmother to an appointment. Like Matt, Jim and I considered it a great privilege to have been able to sing with Bob. What a precious gift from God was his beautiful voice. We loved our time in the octet at MacArthur Park Lutheran. What an unusual combination we were: Sopranos, Marthe Hagee and Virginia Nouchi; Altos, Dianne Johnson and Jane Roach; tenors, Bob White and Vern Benson; basses, Rupert Nouchi and Jim Roach. We had so many fun and also inspirational times practicing and then singing in church. We consider them some of the most precious times at Mac Park. For Margaret, Kathy, and Matt: I somewhat understand the grief you are experiencing these days. My mother died unexpectedly on December 26, 1964--eight months before Jim and I were to be married. I know the sorrow of not being able to say to her all that she meant to me. How I wish I had been more vocal when I was younger. However, I also have the peace in knowing that she is in the presence of our beloved Savior in whom she trusted with all her heart as Bob did. May you find the comfort that only God can give. I can say with confidence that your pain will become less but your memories will not fade and will become sweeter with each passing year. The following readings were sent to me at my mother's death and I have cherished them over the years and sent them to others I know who are in the process of learning to live here on this earth without a loved one while awaiting the time when they will be united with their loved one in heaven. I pray it will be a source of comfort for you. A PRACTICAL PRESCRIPTION FOR GRIEF From all the letters of sympathy I received when my mother died, one stands out above all others: "You will recall," a friend wrote, "That when Elisha knew that Elijah was to be taken away, he asked that a double portion of Elijah's spirit be upon him 2 Kings 2:9. Now, when a dear one has died, I think about the one attribute that I most admired in that person. If that characteristic was gentleness, I'm aware that a certain amount of gentleness has gone out of the world and if the world is not to be poorer, somebody must replace it. Though I haven't seen Bob in a long time, memories of singing with him in the TLC concert choir will always be special to me. I served as his "choir mom" and enjoyed his everpresent smile and wonderful voice. My sympathy and prayers go to Jeannie and the family.

Bob's advice and council will always be treasured by me. He was truly a rock in the Audio Video Industry keeping Bjorn in control, a task no one man should bear. I first met Bob 20+ years ago when Bjorn introduced us. Bob had an infectious smile and was always a delight to visit with. We had a bond in singing...I was the lead singer in the barbershop quartet, the Sound Association, a top 10 quartet for many years, and Bob always asked about us. Whenever I was in the store, if Bob was on the floor, he'd come over and say "hi!" My wife, "CB" and I learned the news Tuesday when we arrived back in SA following Christmas with our family in New Jersey. We are deeply saddened. I always wished that Bob had been a bass...I would have loved to sing in a quartet with such a fine man! God bless you, his family. I know God welcomes him into a great chorus...top row, center! I attended TLU TLC with Bob during my Freshman year. I brought him home with me during that first Thanksgiving break as he wasn't able to go home. He was a great friend and I often accompanied him at various singing functions. I haven't seen him since 1999 or so, but always knew his life was full, joyous, and loving. I believe he made everyone's life's journey positive. I know that I was blessed to have known him. I rejoice with his family in knowing that God has called him Home to add his heavenly voice to the Heavenly choir.

For 6 of the 10 years I was employed at Bjorn's I worked directly for Bob. I could not have had a better boss. When Cindy and I suffered the loss of our daughter, Bob was right there for us. We will never forget his comforting words and support. Not long ago I had an opportunity to sit with Bob at Chesters and enjoy lunch and good conversation with him. I will miss him--especially his robust laugh.

Mr. White will be remembered as an integral part of one of the most respected A/V companies in the country. He will be missed by this industry.

Jeannie and her family, We are so sorry for your loss. Death never comes at a welcomed time. We do know what you are experiencing. Seventeen years ago, my mother died suddenly on December 14th from a brain aneurism and then soon after Kevin's mother died on January 4th from cancer. It was a double hurt for us; to make it worse, I was 8 1/2 months pregnant with Kandyce. Kandyce was born on January 18th with no grandmother. It was hard but through our faith, family and friends, we did endure. I do know those lady angels are constantly watching us as your "Bob" is watching you and your family from above. I was shocked to learn of the untimely passing of Bob. He has been a friend and been of tremendous help when I would have a problem with my equipment. I truly will miss his warm helpful voice. I truly understand your loss and hope that over a period of time you too can accept that even though his life on earth was too short he truly is in a better place. We first met Bob in a business transaction regarding our warehouse. He was most fair and honest. After completing the purchase of the warehouse, we still stayed in touch. He helped my mom numerous times and always with his sincere caring attitude. His business ethics is something I have admired and will always try to emulate. I know that he will be missed by friends, family, and business associates. I find comfort and hope that you can find comfort in the fact that he is a better place.

I wished I had known Bob much better than time allowed. As an installer at Bjorn's for 10-years, I was rarely in the store. What conversations we had will be fondly remembered; not so much for the actual content, but for his straight forward, helpfulness concern. He never made me feel as if my problems were unimportant, even though we both knew he had much greater concerns with running the day-to-day operations of Bjorn's. 
 I know I have not worked at Bjorns for almost nine years, but the sorrow I feel inside is as if I just saw him yesterday. I may have left nine years ago, but my utmost respect for Bob has always stayed with me. Even though I knew him mostly as a supervisor, I consider him as a friend because that is how he made me and many others feel just by his thoughtfulness.

Bob always had a big smile& kind words for Kathy and me. He had a genuine interest in what was going on in our lives as well as business. We will miss his friendship. We wish comfort & understanding for the White family.

Bob was a kind and gentle giant in our industry. Many will miss him.

Bob was working at Billboard Magazine in Hollywood Ca. and set up a lunch reservation for Doug, Bill and myself at the "uppity" dining establishment on the first floor of his building. Being first to arrive I inquired about our table and was told "we have no reservations for'Bob' 
White". I noticed the reservation on their list and pointed it out. But was quickly told "B" White was Betty White the TV personality who had HER reqular table. The manager was summoned to talk with me and get me out of the way. Looking over the top of his glasses he assured me that "B" White was the wonderful-regular Betty. But he did mention that was odd as she was currently in Europe. After much discussion, which was joined in by the reservation maker-Bob White....we were shown to a table. It was not Betty's, but one right in front of the kitchen door. Right off the bat they noticed Bill was "armed", being an FBI agent he was in "uniform". That was settled as he told them he was there to see if they were reusing their butter....a recent scandal with this place. Then our waiter informed us of the days special...it had to be one of Bob's favorites...WEINNIE SOUP..... they cut up hotdogs in a broth and this 5 star place put it as their special. We never went back....rest well big guy!!!!!

It will never cease to amaze me that I met Bjorn shortly after they opened the Wagon Wheel store, but didn't meet Bob till some years later when I joined the Heart of Texas Chorus, where I sang next to him on the back row for most of my first year. Bob was a good friend and riser-mate for a number of years. Sheila and I will miss his warm handshakes and hugs, his welcoming smile, and his beautiful singing voice.

Dear Jeanie and family, I was shocked and saddened to hear about Bob's death as I'm sure your were also. I also have the consolation and peace and joy to know that he has joined His Heavenly Father and is singing joyful Christmas songs in Heaven. In the 35 years I have known Bob, I can't remember a single time he didn't have a smile on his face and laughter in his voice. How blessed you must feel to have been able to spend that many years with such an awesome person. His love for God showed in his words and actions. It seems we met the most at funerals sad to say, but he always had positive words to say. He blessed mother's funeral service with his beautiful voice and for that I'm deeply grateful. Mother didn't have many requests in her life, but her one funeral request was to have Bob sing the Lord's Prayer. I'm so glad he was able to do that for her. 
I can only imagine what the two of them will be up to in heaven! I was so hoping we could come to the funeral, but Ron and I will not be able to attend. I'm still recovering from my last back surgery and the dr. won't let me ride that long and Ron is recovering from surgery two weeks ago. I'm very saddened we can't make the funeral because both you and Bob have a special place in our hearts. Please remember we are there in spirit and will be with you in prayer. Bob was one of the finest individuals that I have had the honor to know in the Consumer Electronics industry. Truly a gentle soul. He will be sorely missed and his passing is a great loss to us all.
