Robert Miles Ford White, MBA, CLU, MFA, died Monday evening, May 20, 2002. Bob White was a devoted husband, father, caretaker, teacher-He was the hunter and gatherer that made our lives secure. He was my only love beginning in our school days and lasting until the last breath drawn. We look forward to the day we will be united at home with our God. Mr. White was an avid student and writer, specializing in Texas and United States history. He authored two books about World War II heroes and co-authored and contributed to a number of family genealogy books as well as to poetry anthologies. He was well known as a speaker, speaking to diverse groups about American and Texas History. He was branch manager for Transamerica. When the branch closed he became a general agent and formed White Insurance Services. He prided himself on his work and served his clients into the last week of his life. He was an active member of St. Luke's Catholic Church, singing in the choir for over thirty years. He contributed generously to the support of the less fortunate persons in his community. With his very busy life he found time for regular Eucharistic Adoration at St. Luke's. He was preceded in death by the stepfather who reared him, Jesse A. White, his mother Faye Scurlock Ford White, father Miles Sullivan Ford, and brother Eddie White. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Wathen-White; daughters and sons-in-law, Martha Elizabeth and Phil Baerreis, of Tennessee; Mary Ruth and Randall Reeve, of Amarillo; Margaret Faye Griffith, of San Antonio; Maureen Adele and Douglas Bakenhus, of Austin; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert, Jr. and Heather Holden White, of Round Rock; William Ben, of San Antonio; Jesse Wathen and Sally Linquest White, of Richmond, Virginia; and Thomas Evan and Jessica Rodriguez White, of San Antonio; grandchildren, Nathan, George and Elizabeth Baerreis; John Robert and Emily Reeve, Mary Catherine Reeve; Sarah Elizabeth White, Suzi and Stuart Feldman, Wendy Kelly; Wayland Howard "Trey", Mary Ann, Robert Hudson, Jesse Michael, William Thomas and Bethany Jean Griffith; Helen Marie, Suzanne Alesia, Robert Miles III, Katherine Alexandra, Ariana Elizabeth, Evan Thomas and Rebecca Faye White, Miles and Carl Bakenhus and five great grandchildren, Clifford, Katie and Stuart Feldman; Rebecca and Jeanpaul Reeve; brothers, William B.
