Rodolfo Morales, born on May 31, 1936, in San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Rodolfo was a man of simple pleasures and strong values who lived a full life, defined by his love for his family and his passion for the outdoors.
Rodolfo developed a love for working with his hands, he found joy in nurturing the earth and watching his grass grow. Rodolfo also enjoyed watching wrestling and cowboy movies, often gathering with friends and family to share in the excitement of the match or the heroics of a classic Western film.
Rodolfo was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Amelia H. Morales, his mother, Lorenza Gonzalez, his brother Robert Garcia and his sister, Elma Cardenas. His family was the center of his world, and he took immense pride in their achievements and happiness. He is survived by his children, Rosemary Morales, Rodolfo Morales Jr. (Irma), Daniel Morales (Belinda), and Michael Angel Morales, who each carry forward his values of hard work, kindness, and dedication. His legacy also lives on in his grandchildren, Daniel Aaron Morales, Angela M. Morales, Michael A. Lopez, and Rodolfo Morales III, and his great-grandchildren, Alana Isabell Lopez and JD Stevens. Rodolfo also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and his dear siblings, Stella Decena and Teresa Hoopaugh.
Rodolfo Morales’s memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him. His life was a testament to the power of love, resilience, and faith, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to be part of his journey.
There will be a Visitation held on Thursday, September 5, 2024, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., with the Rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd., 78237. On Friday, September 6, 2024, our doors will open at 8:30am, we will go in procession for a 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. Dominic's Catholic Church, 5919 ingram Rd., 78228, followed by burial at San Fernando Cemetery #2, 746 Castroville Rd., 78237.
