Romanita Gonzales Salazar was called to eternal rest on Monday, April 22, 2024. She will be rejoicing in Heaven as she is reunited with her husband Willie Salazar Sr., her children Willie Salazar Jr., Wilbert Salazar, and Robert Salazar, her grandchildren Robert Salazar Jr., Dragan Arguello, and Clarissa Salazar.
She is survived by her children Rolando Salazar (Terry), Teresa Arguello, Juan Salazar (Dee Dee), Rudolpho Salazar (Jody), Ricardo Salazar (Maria), Reynaldo Salazar and 21 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren. Romanita was blessed to have such a huge family which spanned 5 generations. She was undoubtedly the pillar that held the family up and the glue that kept the family together. Romanita was a dedicated wife and mother. Her lifetime was spent caring for and nurturing others. She raised her children and continued to raise her grandchildren as she aided in their upbringing. Everyone was always welcomed by Romie, and no one was a stranger. She was referred to as Romie or Grandma Romie as she treated everyone with the same kindness. Many became family through her endless caring and ability to create laughter. She was a firecracker with a spunky personality. She loved joking around and was quick to come at you with the comebacks, at times leaving you in disbelief at her sharp words. She told things like they were and as she aged her filter seemed to slowly disappear. There were many moments spent around the kitchen table laughing uncontrollably because of what she would say, Her laughter and smile were infectious, they had the ability to take your bad day and turn it around. She seemed to know exactly what to say and when to say it, giving you all the advice you needed unknowingly. Romie was blessed to have lived such a fruitful life, but it is those that she impacted that are truly the lucky ones. We will carry on her memory through the playful banter with one another. Many of us will continue to hear her as she asks, "Do you want one, or two", and that will surely bring a smile upon our face.
We appreciate the outpouring of love that has been bestowed onto the family during this difficult time and ask you to help us celebrate Romie's life.
