

Ronald R. Clemons made his final journey home on Saturday December 19, 2015. He departed this world surrounded by his family after succumbing to a long illness. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry and his mother, Effie. He is survived by his sister, Mary Kay and her husband, Charles Naylon of Morton, Illinois, wife Mary, his three children, Michael, Janet and Alan and their spouses Heather, Brady Larsen and Erin; and seven grandchildren Shaylor, Anastassia, Aria, Mikayla, Aynsley, Brayden, and Ian.
Ron, or Ronnie as he was known as a young man, was born in Mason County, Illinois on November 6, 1936. He grew up playing in the woods of the Illinois River Valley and graduated from Pekin High School in 1954. In 1958 he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he honorably served for 22 years. Including a tour in support of the Vietnam Conflict. After his service Ron worked for Datapoint and then VIA Metropolitan Transit. He eventually returned to teaching electronics to airmen at Lackland Air Force Base, the same job he did for twenty years prior, this time as a civil servant. In 1988 he earned his Bachelor's Degree at Southwest Texas State University.
He was a member of the AF&AM Masonic Lodge in Somerset, TX #1205.
Burial will take place 10:45 a.m., Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
