Rosa, “Rosie” Bampi was born March 13th 1948 in San Antonio, TX, and went to be with our Lord on June 6th, 2019, and was able to join her son Joseph Bampi for his birthday. She is preceded in death by her Beloved son, Joseph Bampi Jr., mother and father, Mary Granado and Roque H. Lozano, brothers, Roque Lozano, Johnny Lozano and Refugio Lozano and sisters, Candelaria Lozano and Evangelina Lozano. She is survived by her husband, Jesus Portillo, her children, Arturo Bampi, David Bampi, Consuelo Salazar and Barbara Doxsey, many Grandchildren and Great Grand Children, and her Siblings, Mario Lozano, Carmen Mata, Luisa Sanchez, Amada Ramirez, Michael Lozano, and Raquel Laque, and numerous nieces & nephews, whom she loved all very much. Her passing will leave many with a deep loss, but her beautiful light will always shine in everyone’s memory and hearts. Rosa enjoyed spending time with all her family and friends, she enjoyed being a barber, loved being outdoors either in her yard with her flowers or just out and about. She also loved to watch the cooking channel and trying new recipes; she was an amazing cook.
Rosa had a kind heart, a beautiful smile, a winning personality and was a social butterfly; these qualities made her a great barber, a fast friend to many, and the Love of Our Lives.
A visitation will be on Wednesday June 12, 2019 at Trevino funeral home on 226 Cupples Rd. at 5:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. On Thursday June 13, 2019 a funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. for a mass at St. Timothy's Catholic Church at 11 :00 a.m. Inurnment will be held at San Fernando Cemetery II on Friday, July 12, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Everyone is to meet at the graveside, location is section 37, block 312.
