Rosa "Texas Rose" Hernandez

Rosa Hernandez born on January 4, 1944 passed peacefully on August 7, 2024 after a courageous battle to cancer. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Raymond Hernandez Sr. and her first granddaughter Isabel Morillos. Survived by her children Raymond (Patricia) Edward (Lucy) Joe John and Teresa Rangel (Calvin). 12 beautiful grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Rosa was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and friend. To know her was to know a piece of Heaven on earth. But let us not remember her for just her warrior spirit but for the special memories we hold of her. She was the light of our life. Her outgoing nature and sweet soul made her who she was. She loved music, dancing and cooking but more than anything she loved her family. A rosary will occur Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211. A funeral service will occur Friday, August 16, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM at Divine Providence Catholic Church, 5667 Old Pearsall Rd, San Antonio, TX 78242. A committal service will occur Friday, August 16, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Rd, San Antonio, TX 78237.
