Rosa Sanchez La Farge, 88, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 24, 2012 in Austin, Texas. She was born September 4, 1924 and lived her first 25 years in Brownsville, Texas. Upon her marriage to her husband, Felipe La Farge, she lived her life in San Antonio as a mother, loving daughter, printer, and later, a food service provider. Her last fifteen years of life were spent in Austin, helping with the care of her grandsons.
She is survived by her son Robert La Farge and his wife Pita; her son Joseph La Farge; her son John La Farge; and her daughter Rose Carstenson and her husband Carl. She also leaves behind several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012, at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway, in San Antonio, Texas. Public viewing is at 11:00 a.m. with religious services at 2:00 p.m.
