Rosa Alicia Lopez

Rosa married Gerardo, her husband of 47 years. Together, they lived throughout South Texas, spending time in Laredo, McAllen and San Antonio and, like many, had ups and downs throughout their life together. But, despite that, Gerardo was loyal and devoted, loving and caring for Rosa through the end.

They had three children: Ricardo, Gerardo (JD), and David. Wanting to ensure her children would not struggle through their lives as she had, Rosa dedicated much of her life to raising her boys to be successful in what they wanted to do. While it was not always easy, her love and guidance paid off, as her children have all grown up and achieved the kind of life she wanted for them. Rosa was an avid music and Cowboys fan, especially of the 90’s Super Bowl teams.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mauro and Maria Elida Luna, as well as her brother, Ricardo Luna. In addition to her husband and children, Rosa leaves behind her daughters-in-law, Joy Lopez and Vanessa Lopez, and her grandchildren, Joaquin, Vicente, Isabela and Abigail Lopez, whom she loved so deeply and who will carry in their hearts the best memories of her. Rosa will be deeply missed.

The family will be receiving guests at the funeral home on Friday, November 13, 2020 from 5pm-8pm.
