

Ross Elman Coker, 91, passed away September 18, 2012 and has joined his beloved wife of 46 years, Isabel Dorothy Le Comte and daughter Connie Sue in the arms of the Lord. Ross was born October 10, 1920 to Jasper Peyton and Dora Ada Forrester Coker in San Antonio, Texas. He was a lifelong resident of San Antonio and graduated from Harlendale High School in 1937.
Ross worked for Bartlett Cocke for more than 20 years, and was the Superintendent on countless construction projects, to include; the Alamo Heights National Bank, San Antonio Country Club, Alamo National Bank, One Riverwalk Place , an 18 story office building, and 200 Patterson, an 80 unit condominium. Ross retired from the Carpenters Union Local #14
He was preceded in death by his wife Isabell, daughter Connie Sue Coker Dailey, and two brothers Alvie and Donald Earl.
He is survived by: Grandchildren: Cheryl, William III (Jennifer), Kathryn, and Christine Dailey; William Dailey Jr. (Sandra), Son & Daughter-in-law; his great grand children Taylor, Zoe and William Hunter Dailey; Loraine Dowling, sister-in-law; Charles and Gloria (Le Comte) Uhl, brother & sister-in-law and many very special nephews and nieces.
Ross was a true Southern Gentleman. His passing has left everyone he knew with a profound sense of loss but with precious memories of a wonderful, gentle, hard working and fun-loving man.
