Rudy Almanza

With shattered hearts, we share the devastating loss of our beloved Rudy Almanza—known to many as SLVR. Rudy, a remarkable artist, husband, father, son, brother, and friend, who left an indelible mark on everyone who had the honor of knowing him, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of Wednesday, January 22, 2025, leaving behind a void that words cannot capture.

Rudy is survived by his two beautiful children, Max and Luna Almanza, who were his pride and joy, his stepsons Cameron and Aaron Garza, and his loving wife, Linda Rodriguez Almanza, who was his anchor and soulmate. Rudy also leaves behind his mother Olga Almanza Marquez, siblings, and extended family that adored him. He will forever be remembered by the countless friends, admirers, and community members who were inspired by his life, his work, and his heart.

Rudy believed in love, in art, and in the power of community. His light was extraordinary, and his loss has left us broken. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

A visitation for Rudy will be held Friday, January 31, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road, San Antonio, TX 78238, followed by a funeral service from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
