'Dear Pete, Daniel and Heather,
As with so many of us from a distance, we are in disbelief of Ruth's passing. The Lord blessed John and myself with your kind visit in July at SON, and we cherish the many other visits made over the last years, filled with much laughter and fellowship. 
Ruth was a marvelous friend. She could pray for any situation at the drop of a hat. Her love of the Lord was without question and concern for others' welfare a priority above her own.
Today is All Saint's Day. Ruth, we rejoice you are now in heaven, on the other side of the veil. You have left us much too early, but time's swift passing will unite us again soon if we also continue to put our trust in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on the cross for our sins. Ephesians 2:8
We pray that you will carry on in His name Pete, Daniel and Heather. The Lord has a very special plan for each of you until meeting your dear wife and mother on that beautiful shore.
May the funeral tomorrow be a wonderful celebration of Ruth's life.
