She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and attended the University of Texas at Austin. Among her charitable work, she volunteered for the American Red Cross for many years.
Ruth was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 63 years, James Kallison.
She is survived by her loving children, Nancy Kallison and James Kal Kallison, Jr. and wife, Jo Lyn Kallison and her grandsons, Erik, David and Nathan.
The family wishes to express their deep appreciation and gratitude to Herminia Garza for her years of devotion and loving care of Ruth.
A graveside service will be held on at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at Beth-El Memorial Park. 1715 Austin Hwy, San Antonio with Rabbi Barry H.D. Block officiating.
