Ruth Kloza, a beacon of creativity and intelligence with an ever-present sense of humor, passed away into the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ on October 17, 2024, at the age of 67. Born on August 2, 1957, in San Antonio, TX, Ruth lived a full and joyous life surrounded by family, friends, and the community she cherished in the very place she first called home.
Ruth is survived by her beloved husband of 35 years, Jim Kloza, her devoted mother, Dora Salinas, and her caring brother, Steve Salinas. She was preceded in death by her father, George Salinas. Her spirit will be missed by many, including her aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a wide circle of friends who were touched by her warmth and generosity. Her beauty was only outshined by her intelligence, faith, and trust in God.
For nearly three decades, Ruth was the proud owner of "Essential Skin," a skin care business that her clients affectionately referred to as "The Fountain of Ruth." Her entrepreneurial spirit was matched by her versatility, as she also held real estate and insurance licenses, living by the maxim that one should never let any grass grow under their feet.
Ruth's passions extended far beyond her professional endeavors. She loved to travel and see new and exciting places and cultures. Some of her favorites were Athens, Rome, and Pompeii. Closer to home, she was the life of the party, known for her gourmet cooking and love of entertaining. Ruth had a talent for making things beautiful, and her flair for decorating was evident in every celebration she hosted. Playing cards with family and friends was one of her favorite pastimes, where her cleverness and intelligence shone brightly. Her confidence was a guiding force, leading her through life's challenges with grace and determination. Friends and family will recall her quick wit, which brought laughter and lightness to any situation.
As we bid farewell to Ruth Kloza, we celebrate the legacy of a woman whose life was vibrant, positive, and joyful, and her memory will continue to inspire all who knew her.
