She served with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Service for 36 years in Buenos Aires, Argentina; Guatemala City, Guatemala; La Paz, Bolivia; Manila, Philippines; Bombay, India; London, England; Guadalajara, Mexico; Mexico City, Mexico; Hong Kong; Jakarta, Indonesia; and Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.
