Ruth and I had many hours spent together in the car driving to family get-togethers in San Antonio. Having her accompany me on the trip made the time fly by because we were always talking and laughing about something. She became such a good friend to me and I missed her after she moved to SA. I feel the Lord put us together for a length of time and I am blessed to have known her for more than just Gary's mother. She was truly a real part of our whole family and I admired her and the love she had for her family.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. Charlie and Sherry we miss seeing you guys in Corpus and think of you often.

A beautiful women, mother and best friend to the Andrews' family. I loved Ruth so very much, as did my Mom and Dad. She was always there for us during all times, good and bad. I send my thoughts and prayers to the family. I am sure she is looking down and smiling at her family, and all of us that were blessed to have had her presence in our lives. God Bless, Love Eddie

To the Ulrich Family: I knew Barnie & Phil Ulrich in the 50's & 60's when I used to go by their location on Agnes Street to sell them tools. Barnie always amazed me with his ideas & inventions. 
May his late wife, Ruth, rest in peace.

Dear Family, The care and attention with which you took care of your mother has to be her greatest tribute. We could all see it was the return for the care and love she had given you for simply being her family. I have many fond memories and mental pictures of Aunt Ruth. For one, she never neglected to let me know when she thought I was on a strange or deviant path - the Lord knows I have been down a few - and felt her advice could help me. She was also the dearest and most true friend my mother ever had. JoAnn and I are thinking of each of you in your loss and sorrow.

Mrs. Ulrich was a neighbor in a time when kids roamed from yard to yard, playing soldiers and make believe. She never shooed us away and always allowed us to climb the big tree next to the house on Poplar Street. I am sure our laughing and shouting was a disturbance that could have been ended with one cross word, a word that never came. As an adult I came to call her Ruth because that is what my parents called her and they frequently mentioned her in our long distance conversations. As neighbors they looked out for one another through times of celebration and of grief. As the burden grew on my mother's shoulders with the stroke of my father and his long illness before his death, Ruth was always there for my mother as a friend and confidant. Ruth was one of the most gracious women I have ever known. Her humor and positive nature was always a blessing to me and to my family. My thoughts and prayers are with her children and grandchildren.
