Ryan Michael Polasek, age 8, of San Antonio, died Saturday, July 14, 2001. He attended Highland Hills Baptist School. Ryan loved being part of The American Boy Scouts Troop #358. An avid fisherman, he mostly enjoyed playing outside and being with his brother, Scott. He brought joy into the lives of all who loved him. Ryan will be dearly missed by those who knew him. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Charlie Polasek. Survivors: parents, Louis and Susan Polasek; brother, Scott Polasek, all of San Antonio; paternal grandmother, Mary Polasek, Falls City, TX; maternal grandmother, Betty Bender; maternal grandfather, Keith Bender, both of Bloomington, IN; maternal grandmother, Donna Bender, Washington, D.C.; great grandmother, Betty Williams, Bloomington, IN; aunt, Cory Smith; uncle, Doug Smith, both of San Antonio; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and a host of childhood friends.
