Sabina M Lozano

She was born in Castaños, Coahuila, Mexico in 1928 to Tomas and Josefa Medrano. She was one of three children.

A devoted servant of God, Sabina was a true pillar of faith, known for her unwavering commitment to prayer, her boundless love, and her selfless service to others. Her life was a testament to the power of prayer, and she was known by many as a devoted prayer warrior who interceded tirelessly for her family, friends, church and community. Throughout her life, Sabina was an active member of her church, where she dedicated countless hours to ministry, teaching, mentoring, and starting a mission in her own house which later grew into a church. Her prayers were a source of comfort and strength for many, and her home was always open to those in need of guidance, wisdom, or a listening ear. Sabina is remembered not only for her faith but also for her loving and generous spirit. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend who cherished time spent with her family. Her kitchen was the heart of the home, where her family loved to gather to enjoy her cooking, especially her homemade tamales. She loved spending time outside tending to her large garden, filled with a variety of flowers and plants. Her legacy of love, compassion, and prayerfulness will continue to inspire those who knew her.

Sabina was preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years, Octaviano; infant daughter, Dora Alicia; brother, Eusebio; sister, Juanita; and parents Tomas and Josefa. She is survived by her children and their spouses - Maria Elena (Randy) Price, Rosa Maria (Norbert) Hernandez, Maria del Carmen (Humberto) Garcia, Susana (Nicolas) Saucedo; and her seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on November 17, 2024 at Sunset Memorial Park & Funeral Home. Family will visit from 4:00 pm-5:00 pm, followed by public visitation from 5:00 pm-6:00 pm, and concluding with the Funeral Service from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm.

A graveside service to honor and celebrate her life will be held at Sunset Memorial Park & Funeral Home on November 18, 2024 at 11:00 AM.

A luncheon will follow the service, where family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate her life at First Mexican Baptist Church.

Sabina Lozano

Sabina Lozano, de 96 años de edad, fue llamada a estar con su Señor y Salvador el sábado 9 de noviembre de 2024 en San Antonio, Texas.

Nació en Castaños, Coahuila, México en 1928 de Tomas y Josefa Medrano. Era una de tres hijos.

Sabina, devota sierva de Dios, era un verdadero pilar de la fé, conocida por su inquebrantable compromiso con la oración, su amor sin límites y su servicio desinteresado a los demás. Su vida fué un testimonio del poder de la oración, y muchos la conocían como una devota guerrera de la oración que intercedía incansablemente por su familia, sus amigos, su iglesia y su comunidad. A lo largo de su vida, Sabina fué miembro activo de su iglesia, donde dedicó inumerables horas al ministerio, la enseñanza, la consejeria y la puesta en marcha de una misión en su propia casa, que más tarde se convirtió en una iglesia. Sus oraciones eran una fuente de consuelo y fortaleza para muchos, y su casa estaba siempre abierta a quienes necesitaban, un lugar en donde pasar la noche, compartir un plato de comida o simplemete un oído atento para desahogarse. Sabina es recordada no sólo por su fé, sino también por su espíritu cariñoso y generoso. Fué una devota y cariñosa esposa, madre, abuela, bisabuela, tía, hermana y amiga que apreciaba el tiempo que pasaba con su familia. Su cocina era el corazón del hogar, donde a su familia le encantaba reunirse para disfrutar de su cocina, especialmente sus tamales caseros. Le encantaba pasar tiempo al aire libre cuidando de su gran jardín, lleno de una variedad de flores y plantas. Su legado de amor, compasión y oración continuará inspirando a quienes la conocieron.

Sabina fué precedida en la muerte por su amado esposo de 69 años, Octaviano; su hija pequeña, Dora Alicia; su hermano, Eusebio; su hermana, Juanita; y sus padres, Tomás y Josefa. Le sobreviven sus hijos y sus cónyuges: María Elena (Randy) Price, Rosa María (Norbert) Hernández, María del Carmen (Humberto) García, Susana (Nicolas) Saucedo; y sus siete nietos y once bisnietos.

Las visitas serán el 17 de noviembre de 2024 en Sunset Memorial Park & Funeral Home. Visita privada para la familia inmediata de 4:00 pm-5:00 pm, visita general de 5:00 pm-6:00 pm, y concluyendo con el Servicio Funeral de 6:00 pm-7:00 pm.

Servicio de sepultura para honrar y celebrar su vida se llevará a cabo en Sunset Memorial Park & Funeral Home el 18 de noviembre de 2024 a las 11:00 AM.

Después del servicio funebre habrá un almuerzo, en donde se invita a familiares y amigos a reunirse, compartir recurdos y celebrar su vida en la Primera Iglesia Bautista Mexicana.
