She went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 19, 2005 at the age of 90 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Vann Russell.
Sallie was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church and was a long time member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors.
She grew up in San Antonio and graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in journalism.
Sallie is survived by her stepdaughter, Anne Pankratz; two granddaughters; four great grandchildren and cousins: James C. Posgate, Jr., Laurie P. Plant, and Louis R. Posgate.
