We are blessed to have known Sal, he will be missed however God saw his tired face and put his arms around him and lifted him to rest. 'My deepest sympathy goes out to the family of our beloved Sal. He and his family were loyal fixtures at the Christopher Columbus Hall helping with the dinners for so many many years. Sal and his team always knew just what to do so we never had to worry. They kept up the Hall as if it were their own house. Members of the San Francesco di Paola Church are also in their debt for the many dinners they provided loyal service. I mostly remember Sal and his family for being genuinely hard working people who considered their work and friendships to be a source of pride and dignity. Sal will be greatly missed but fondly remembered as a leader, worker, but most of all a cherished friend. May he rest in the Lord's peaceful arms and may his family be consoled by his memory and feel proud to have had a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather as wonderful as Sal.

'Their home on West Magnolia was where I always wanted to be. From the birthday parties, ALL the holiday's that were spent there, helping wash his car and Vickie's, yardwork, roller skating up and down the drive way, learning to jump rope, helping him bar b que outside (more like be the errand gal between him and Grandma), fetching beers that were constantly stocked up in the garage refrigerator, making his classic drink: Chivas, ice, and water, playing pool in his garage (more like getting in trouble for making middle finger gestures on the pool table for not being able to play), learning and using Mike and Greg's skateboards there, I'd better be ready to go to church on Sunday, being walked to Woodlawn Elementary by Grandpa (yep, he'd have his traditional white tank top shirt on), then getting rides to school from Grandpa in the morning and listening to his reaction when KBUC wasn't on the radio.Grandpa was so funny, he'd say I would "charge" his home phone bill up by talking on the phone! Lol, I suppose that's where my crazy sense of humor comes from. SO many more years of delightful memories of him.... we'll be together again Grandpa!! Thank you for the many lessons, talks about life, and being such a magnificent role model. You will forever remain in all of our hearts.
