

He is survived by his wife, Josephine O. Diaz; his daughters Vickie Diaz, Barbara Beal (Dr. Roger J. Beal), Josie Resendez and son Thomas Diaz (Erlinda), all of San Antonio. He treasured his 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grand children and one great-great-grandchild.
Salvador leaves behind a lasting legacy of strength, service and love. He was known as Dad, Father-in-law, Grandpa, Tito, Grandpa-Great, brother, Tio, Uncle Gouch and most of all a loyal friend to all who knew him. He will be missed by many.
Salvador lived a full life of 92 years in San Antonio with his family and was married to the love of his life for 73 of those years.
He pledged his service to his country by serving honorably in the U.S. Navy and as a foreman at Kelly Air Force Base for 35 years. He was a World War II veteran and Vietnam volunteer. He was a Life Member at the VFW Post 76 and an active member of the Honor Guard. He was a hero and role model for so many.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 23rd from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with recitation of the rosary at 7:00 PM at Porter Loring on McCullough.
On Friday, April 24th, a service will be held in the Porter Loring Chapel at 10:00 AM.
On Thursday, April 30th a procession will depart Porter Loring at 9:30 AM for a Graveside Service at 10:00 AM in San Fernando Cemetery II.
