Salvador Prieto, age 89, was born on April 12, 1935 and peacefully passed away on January 1, 2025. Salvador was affectionately known as Papo Sal by his family and grandchildren. He loved his family and grandchildren very much. He enjoyed gathering with family and grandchildren and would always make them laugh. He is preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Sanchez; son, Nathan Ray Prieto; sister, Rufina Olivarez; and ex-wife, Maria Inez Hines. Salvador is survived by his son, Adam Prieto (Jennifer); daughter, Norma Martinez (Mark); daughter-in-law, Christine Prieto; grandchildren, Adriel Prieto (Natasha); Haley Prieto; Mark Martinez II (Sydney); Christin Prieto; Melynna Martinez; and Ashlyn Prieto.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025 at 2:30 pm at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
