She was born January 16, 1919, in Savoy, Texas, to Charles and Daisy Billner.
A devote Christian, Sammie attended services at Jefferson Church of Christ and Oak Hills Church.
She was a dedicated homemaker and in her leisure time enjoyed reading, shopping and was an avid bowler. Sammie had a great love for her family and will be missed by all who loved and knew her.
Sammie is survived by her loving children, Ronnie Ward, Jimmy Jones and wife, Linda, Vikki Persyn and husband, Eddie, David Jones and wife, Diana; cherished grandchildren, Karen and Stacy Ward, Scott and Todd Persyn, Jeremiah, Josh, Courtney and Brittany Jones, Justin Jones and Kristen Olfers.
